Specialist management, unlike personnel management, implies a simpler management scenario. The opposite is true. In specialist management, the principle of matrix organization is applied. Often this happens too little consciously and is not institutionalized. The specialist supervisor must ensure that the job holder always functions in his or her interests, but has no or only limited right to issue instructions.
This calls for a serious and respectful approach. Specialist management has a higher degree of complexity in terms of influencing and disturbing factors than personnel management. This fact must never be underestimated.
